All Star Bleachers, Inc., a Florida based bleacher and stadium seating manufacturer, recently contributed several products to makeover athletic facilities at Roberts Playground and Dorchester Education Complex in Dorchester, MA, near Boston. Manufacturers, contractors and other businesses united their resources and talents to upgrade school athletic facilities and park, which are located in a high crime area. The project will be featured on ESPN’s new inspirational series “RISE UP”. These products were shipped, within one week, from two warehouse locations; Lancaster, PA and Lakeland, FL. The newly renovated facilities will be utilized by Dorchester Academy and TechBoston, the two schools have a combined athletics program.

“This was not a tough decision to make,” said Bruce Woodward, President and COO of All Star Bleachers, “there was an obvious need and we were happy to contribute to the community, to help these kids have a safe place to practice and play.”

The “RISE UP” Dorchester episode will air September 27, 2011 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

RISE UP will spend time with the students and coaches in each community, uncovering the challenges facing high school athletes today, and working with professional athletes, coaches, and trainers to help motivate and inspire them to reach even greater goals. The series kicks off on Tuesday, September 13, and will air on the three consecutive Tuesdays thereafter.
